About Us
The Rehabilitation Service provides intensive interdisciplinary rehabilitation programs to patients with reduced function and independence due to an acquired illness or injury. Rehabilitation programs are based on individualised goals to optimise a person’s ability to safely return and/or remain in the community with additional services, supports and adaptive equipment as required. Conditions managed within rehabilitation include, but are not limited to:
- stroke
- acquired brain injury
- neurological conditions (e.g. Multiple Sclerosis, GBS)
- amputation
- spinal cord injury
- multi-trauma
- various orthopaedic conditions (e.g. post-operative knee or hip replacements), and
- deconditioning following medical or surgical illness.
