About Us

Baralaba State School (K-10) is a vibrant, inclusive school and a hub of its community. Founded in 1918 in a tent, Baralaba State School is located in Central Queensland, west of Gladstone. In 2018, we celebrated the centenary of our school – a significant milestone of our school’s history. In 2019, Baralaba SS was one of the first schools in the state to open its State Delivered Kindergarten program - a significant milestone for the state schooling system. Today, we are proud of our school’s traditions, our facilities and the learning opportunities that we provide our students to prepare them for their futures. We embody our school motto – “Success by effort.”
