It is comprised of 143 localities including Alberta, Aranbanga, Auburn, Ban Ban, Banana, Bancroft, Barakula, Baralaba, Baroondah, Beeron, Bell, Biggenden, Blackswamp, Blairmore, Bogandilla, Boyne Valley, Boynedale, Branch Creek, Brigalow, Broadmere, Brovinia, Bundi, Bungaban, Burncluith and Burra Burri plus parts of another 4 localities.

It is comprised of the councils of Banana Shire and North Burnett plus parts of Bundaberg, Gladstone and Western Downs.

It is surrounded by the state electorates of Burnett, Gladstone, Gregory, Maryborough, Mirani, Nanango and Warrego.

It is comprised of parts of the federal electorates of Flynn and Maranoa.
