OUR AIM
Embark Physio's goal is to build a community that promotes living a physically active and healthy lifestyle within the ageing, neurological, and disability communities. Our passion is to find personalised ways to make this lifestyle transition more normalized and accessible.
WHO WE SEE
Embark Physio provides Physiotherapy services to those who are ageing, have a neurological condition or live with a disability. We have a special interested in brain injury, stroke, parkinson's disease, falls prevention, general de-conditioning. Embark Physio caters from 10+ to the elderly.
WHAT WE DO
Embark Physio work with people who have lost physical function from a neurological event or de-conditioning. Skills we often help our clients improve include walking, access to the community, participation in a sport or community activity, falls prevention.
Our sessions can include:
- Targeted exercises to work on strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, fitness and agility exercises.
- Task-specific practice of a skill
- Problem-solving solutions for access to activities, venues, parks / beaches, cafes in the community
- Prescription of walking aids
- Training on safe transfer and manual handling techniques
- Education on your condition, ways to maintain your physical health, creating a safe home environment to move around, other available services, etc
LOCATION
Embark Physio will see you where you are most comfortable. Your session with us can take place in your home, a community gym or pool, a park, the beach… the options are endless!
