parkrun - Hamilton

Hamilton parkrun starts at the Lakes Edge Adventure Playground, an all abilities playground located on the east side of the lake (Rippon road entry off Ballarat Road). parkrunners will begin by running or walking for approx 400 meters in a counterclockwise direction to our turnaround point, before turning around and heading in a clockwise direction around the lake for 4.6kms to complete the Hamilton parkrun course. Facilities Lake Hamilton has many facilities for users. There are toilets and showers for male, female, ambulant, and baby change facilities - located in 3 locations, including the finish location for the parkrun event (at the Adventure Playground). Car parking is free, includes disabled parking and is located around the lake in designated parking zones, as well as residential street parking. There are also 3 children’s play areas, including the Lake’s Edge Adventure Playground, the Skatepark, boat ramp, and a rowing club house. The Adventure Playground area also includes 2 BBQ facilities, a drinking fountain and water bottle refill station, shelter, table and seating. Getting there on footTo access the start of Hamilton parkrun, walk east along Ballarat road and turn left into Rippon Road. Walk north along Rippon road and the start of parkrun is at the Lakes Edge Adventure Playground. Meet at the BBQ shelter located on the lakeside of the playground. Getting there by roadTo access the start of Hamilton parkrun, drive east along Ballarat road and turn left into Rippon Road. Drive north along Rippon road until you can’t go any further. This is where you will see the Lakes Edge Adventure Playground. The start of parkrun is under the BBQ shelter on the lakeside of the playground. Post Run Coffee Every week we grab a post parkrun coffee at The Roxburgh cafe at 64 Thompson Street in Hamilton. Mention "parkrun" when buying a hot drink and 50cents will be donated by the Rox back to Hamilton parkrun - please come and join us!
