Community Health & Medical
About Us
The Kooweerup Hospital is an important hub within the Kooweerup region. We are committed to continually improving the services we provide to the local community – so that we play a key role in improving the overall health and wellbeing of local residents. We provide round-the-clock medical services on our large hospital site, as well as district nursing in and around the community.
The categories of services we offer at KRHS include:
Health Support
- Through our holistic approach to healthcare, we offer a range of health support services to help you achieve optimum health and wellbeing – and lead a more fulfilling life. We also strongly support education and offer a range of programs designed to provide training assessment and support for our nurses of tomorrow.
Medical Clinics
- Our medical clinics provide practitioners and excellent facilities to the local community with on-site access to pathology, allied health, visiting specialists and district nursing.
Community health and wellbeing
- We want to help you all to be as healthy as you can be. To do this, we offer a wide range of community health programs that are designed to help diverse community groups improve their overall health and wellbeing. Our commitment to good community health is shown by the fact that we were one of the first Victorian hospitals to become a ‘Health Promoting Hospital’ – one that recognises that good health is about so much more than just treating sick people. We encourage you to browse the programs and services listed below to see how you can take steps towards better health and, ultimately, a longer life.
Residential Care
- If you or a loved one have reached the point where you need to move into a care facility, know that your needs will be well looked after at Kooweerup Regional Health Service. In all of our residential care facilities, the comfort and well-being of our residents is our top priority; and our friendly staff are always on-hand to help. Seniors Information Victoria offers free information on a wide range of issues of interest to older Victorians including housing, health, legal and financial matters, retirement and social connections
