About Us
Uniting Communities is an inclusive not-for-profit organisation working alongside more than 30,000 South Australians each year as they strive for bright futures and great lives.
We foster connectedness across our society, building strong and compassionate communities which are accessible, respectful and safe for all.
We’re delivering new solutions to entrenched problems through innovation, prevention and early intervention, continuously improving our services which are driven by integrity and quality.
We create a united and inclusive environment for our staff and volunteers, equipping them with the courage, knowledge and capability to continue to drive change for the better. We have a bold and unceasing commitment to social justice, advocating for change and improvement in the lives of those who need it most.
Our Commitments
Reconciliation
We recognise and respect the enduring relationship between the First Nations people, the land and the sea. The ancestral tie has never been ceded or extinguished and co-exists with our wider community. We acknowledge the past and it's impact on the present, so that we can move together in reconciliation and healing.
Violence prevention & gender equality
We are committed to promoting a gendered understanding of violence and in reducing the prevalence of family violence in our community.
Environmental sustainability
Immediate action on climate change is essential. By championing the Net Zero 2035 commitment, there is a clear path forward to continue the achievements in reducing, offsetting and ultimately eliminating our carbon emissions.
Diversity & inclusion
We celebrate difference, champion inclusion and promote the importance of creating accessible, respectful and safe spaces for all.
