Community Nurses connects older persons, their families and carers with in-home support services and support during the transition to higher-level care. Community Health Nurses provide advice, information, and links to community services.

Dental

The NWHHS Oral Health Service provides a statewide schedule of dental services to eligible patients living in Mount Isa and the surrounding district. The service is aimed at stabilisation and prevention of oral disease and maintenance of function in the district.

Diabetes Service

The Diabetes Service focus on hospital avoidance by screening and early identification, management and health education/promotion utilising evidence based best practice, to optimise individual self-management of diabetes in pregnancy and type 1 and type 2 diabetes across all ages.

Gidgee Healing's service footprint is the largest single Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service provider by land area in Queensland. It comprises 20 Native Title group land areas, 12 Local Government areas, 2 Queensland State seats (Mount Isa and Gregory), 2 House of Representative Divisions (Kennedy and Maranoa) and 2 Hospital and Health Service regions (Central West and North West).
