About Us

A mostly flat course with 3 short sharp rises and 3 short sharp descents, all on good surfaces with only the first 100m and last 50m on grass. The start and finish are located adjacent to the permanent undercover BBQs 50m from the corner of Stanley and William Sts. In short, start in the park at the bottom of William St, run across the river via the low bridge, then twice an out and back section between the low bridge and onto the high bridge, and finally back over the low bridge to the finish right next to the start. In more detail, from the BBQs head downhill to the right of the Conversation Sculpture and left onto the concrete path around the river. Follow the path towards the Gordon Edgell Bridge (the low bridge) and turn right down the hill and cross the bridge on the footpath. Proceed past the carpark and turn right just past the carpark along the path towards the Denison Bridge (high bridge). Take a sharp left at the top of the short steep ramp up to the bridge (don't go under the bridge) on the path and proceed up onto the bridge. At the other end of the bridge, u-turn at the bollards and return across bridge, keeping right. At the end of the bridge, veer right and follow the path around and under the Denison Bridge and return down the ramp to the carpark, keeping left. U-turn just before the carpark and do the 'bridge to bridge' lap again. After your 2nd lap, continue across the low bridge over the river, then about 20m up the hill take the only path to the left into the park (the way you came). Continue along the path past the Bicentennial flagpole area. Take the next path on the right which angles the BBQs and the finish line. Facilities Toilets. Children’s playground. BBQs.
