parkrun - Albury Wodonga

This is an out-and-back course following the bank of the Murray River.Starting at Hovell Tree Park behind Albury Swimming Pool, it follows the Murray River Trail which is concrete footpath all the way along the river, through Noreuil Park, past the Riverdeck Kiosk and on to Oddies Creek Park. You continue under the causeway bridge before crossing the river on the Lincoln Causeway bridge. Continue on the concrete path, past Gateway Island, along the river. The course turns around just before the back of Harvey’s Fish and Fun Park to complete the same route back. Facilities Ample car parking is available at Hovell Tree Park as well as toilet facilities. Further car parks are available at Noreuil Park just a short walk from the course start. Toilet facilities are also available at Noreuil Park. Parking is free. Getting there by public transportFrom Albury: Martins Albury provide full bus service from Albury, Lavington and Thurgoona. Bus stops are only a short walking distance to Hovell Tree Park from QEII Square in Dean Street or Tax Office in Smollett Street. For maps and timetable please see the Martin's Alburyl website. From Wodonga: Dysons offer bus service from Wodonga to Albury. Bus departs from the City Centre on High Street with Albury stops only a short walking distance to Hovell Tree Park from Wodonga Place, Smollett Street or QEII Square in Dean Street. Turn left at Wodonga Place and continue past Albury Botanic Gardens before entering car park after Albury Sports Ground into Hovell Tree Park. Getting there by roadFrom Hume Fwy: Take Albury Exit, turn west on to East Street. Turn right at the roundabout onto Atkins Street. Follow Atkins Street to the left onto Hume Street. Continue along Hume Street, straight into Hovell Tree Park carpark. From Dean Street (Main Street): Head west along Dean Street. Turn left at Wodonga Place and continue past Albury Botanic Gardens before entering car park after Albury Sports Ground into Hovell Tree Park.
