CCCares

CCCares is an alternate education and support program for pregnant and parenting students from the ACT and surrounding districts. We provide flexible delivery of learning and content, towards the receipt of an ACT Senior Secondary Certificate and certified competency-based training in a supportive non-judgemental environment. Students are usually aged 14 to 25 and come from diverse backgrounds.

In 2023, Smith's Alternative and Dept of Rock launched a Battle of the Band comp for ACT and Federal public servants to showcase and encourage musical creatives in our public sector workforce. The band comp was super popular with 24 bands entering including a number of newly formed bands for the competition. To give musicians more performance opportunity, we are hosting All Star gigs in April 2024
