About Us

The Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) is a Commonwealth Program which funds organisations to provide basic support services to help people aged 65 + to live at home, rather than move into a hostel or nursing home care when they don’t wish to do so.

Care Goondiwindi is delivering the Home Lawn & Garden Maintenance Service under the CHSP – Commonwealth Home Support programme in the Goondiwindi and Yelarbon area.

To be eligible for the Commonwealth Home support Programme, you will need to under take an assessment with My Aged Care by phoning 1800 200 422 and you will then be giving a reference number. Referrals are can also be done with the assistance of Allied Health, Nursing Staff, as well as your Doctor with them gaining access to My Aged Care website and registering you directly for an assessment.

You may also approach the service Co-ordinator at Care Goondiwindi for a self referral, who will then register you online via My Aged Care, who will then make contact with you to arrange for an assessment to be carried out by an agency. The agency will then contact the Home Maintenance Service for you to be registered to receive our service.
