About This Community
The state electorate of Yan Yean has an approximate area of 600 km².
It is comprised of the suburbs of Beveridge, Diamond Creek, Donnybrook, Doreen, Eden Park, Hurstbridge, Mernda, Nutfield, Plenty, Upper Plenty, Wallan, Wattle Glen, Whittlesea, Woodstock and Yarrambat plus parts of Cottles Bridge, Humevale and Yan Yean.
It is adjacent to the locality of Clonbinane.
It is comprised of parts of the councils of City Of Whittlesea, Mitchell Shire and Nillumbik Shire.
It is surrounded by the state electorates of Bundoora, Eildon, Eltham, Euroa, Macedon, Mill Park, Thomastown and Yuroke.
It is comprised of parts of the federal electorates of Mcewen and Scullin.
