It is comprised of the suburbs of Balhannah, Birdwood, Blakiston, Brukunga, Callington, Dawesley, Forest Range, Gumeracha, Harrogate, Hay Valley, Littlehampton, Lobethal, Mount Barker Junction, Mount Barker Summit, Mount George, Mount Torrens, Nairne, Oakbank, Petwood, St Ives, Totness and Woodside plus parts of 7 suburbs including Basket Range, Carey Gully, Kenton Valley, Lenswood and Mount Barker.

It is comprised of the localities of Kanmantoo, Monarto and Monarto South plus parts of Charleston, Freeling, Macclesfield, Mobilong, Onkaparinga, Rockleigh, Talunga and Tungkillo.

It is comprised of parts of the councils of Adelaide Hills, Mount Barker District and The Rural City Of Murray Bridge.

It is surrounded by the state electorates of Bragg, Hammond, Heysen, Morialta, Newland and Schubert.

It is comprised of parts of the federal electorates of Barker and Mayo.
