About This Community
The state electorate of Burdekin has an approximate area of 100,000 km².
It is comprised of 36 suburbs including Airdmillan, Airville, Alligator Creek, Ayr, Brandon, Brookhill, Carstairs, Clare, Colevale, Collinsville, Cromarty, Cungulla, Dalbeg, Fredericksfield, Giru, Groper Creek, Home Hill, Horseshoe Lagoon, Inkerman, Jarvisfield, Jerona, Julago, Mcdesme, Millaroo and Mona Park.
It is comprised of 55 localities including Alva, Barratta, Barringha, Belyando, Blue Mountain, Bogie, Bowen, Burton, Calcium, Cape Cleveland, Clermont, Coppabella, Dysart, Eaglefield, Eight Mile Creek, Elgin, Elphinstone, Epsom, Frankfield, Gemini Mountains, Glenden, Gumlu, Guthalungra, Hail Creek and Kemmis plus parts of another 7 localities.
It is comprised of the council of Burdekin plus parts of Isaac, Townsville and Whitsunday.
It is surrounded by the state electorates of Gregory, Mirani, Mundingburra, Thuringowa, Townsville, Traeger and Whitsunday.
It is comprised of parts of the federal electorates of Capricornia and Dawson.
