The state electorate of Daly has an approximate area of 84,000 km².

It is comprised of the suburbs of Batchelor, Belyuen, Berry Springs, Camp Creek, Channel Island, Collett Creek, Eva Valley, Finniss Valley, Fleming, Fly Creek, Livingstone, Mandorah, Maranunga, Nauiyu, Nganmarriyanga, Peppimenarti, Southport, Stapleton, Tortilla Flats, Tumbling Waters, Wadeye, Wagait Beach and Wickham plus parts of Lee Point.

It is comprised of the localities of Adelaide River, Blackmore, Burrundie, Bynoe, Charlotte, Coomalie Creek, Cox Peninsula, Daly River, Darwin River, Darwin River Dam, Douglas-daly, Dundee Forest, Lake Bennett, Litchfield Park, Nemarluk, Pine Creek, Rakula, Robin Falls, Rum Jungle, Thamarrurr, Tipperary and Weddell plus parts of Claravale and Edith.

It is comprised of the councils of Belyuen Shire, Coomalie Shire, Cox-daly, Wagait Shire and West Daly Region plus parts of Litchfield, Marrakai-dougla and Victoria Daly Region.

It is surrounded by the state electorates of Arafura, Arnhem, Casuarina, Fannie Bay, Goyder, Katherine, Nelson, Nightcliff, Port Darwin, Stuart and Wanguri.

It is comprised of parts of the Lingiari federal electorate.
