About This Community
The state electorate of Wallsend has an approximate area of 120 km².
It is comprised of the suburbs of Beresfield, Birmingham Gardens, Callaghan, Elermore Vale, Fletcher, Glendale, Jesmond, Lambton, Lenaghan, Maryland, Minmi, North Lambton, Rankin Park, Shortland, Wallsend and Waratah West plus parts of Black Hill, Cardiff, Cardiff Heights, Hexham, New Lambton, New Lambton Heights, Tarro and Waratah.
It is comprised of parts of the councils of Cessnock, Lake Macquarie and Newcastle.
It is surrounded by the state electorates of Cessnock, Charlestown, Lake Macquarie, Maitland, Newcastle and Port Stephens.
It is comprised of parts of the federal electorates of Hunter, Newcastle and Paterson.
