The state electorate of Strathfield has an approximate area of 23 km².
It is comprised of the suburbs of Burwood, Burwood Heights, Croydon, Enfield, Homebush, Homebush West, North Strathfield and Strathfield South plus parts of Ashfield, Belfield, Concord West, Croydon Park and Strathfield.
It is comprised of the council of Burwood plus parts of Canada Bay, Inner West and Strathfield.
It is surrounded by the state electorates of Auburn, Canterbury, Drummoyne, Lakemba and Summer Hill.
It is comprised of parts of the federal electorates of Reid and Watson.
